A Focus on PM Training: The Next Boulder Web Project Manager Happy Hour

On Thursday, November 21st, Boulder-based, web-focused Project Managers will get together for another Happy Hour. Based on a poll of what topics were most interesting to members, this meetup’s topic will focus on PM Training. We will discuss what works and what doesn’t in terms of improving on our skills as PMs.

Conferences dedicated to Web Project Management are few and far between (which might be why the recent Digital Project Management Summit had a waiting list as large as the attendee list). Communities of PMs are typically small, and there aren’t many classes focused on what we do. So, what are PMs doing to learn and get better, what can we be doing, and how can we train others to be successful PMs?

If this meetup group has taught me anything, it’s that we don’t need to figure everything out alone. We are building a community together, and leveraging each others’ knowledge and experiences is a main benefit of that community.
