Viget Labs Helps The Playground Fund

ARLINGTON, VA (November 9, 2001) — When Viget Labs, a local web systems development firm, heard about the plight of a rural Mississippi elementary school that lacked playground equipment, they couldn't turn away. Viget Labs worked with the founders of The Playground Fund, a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of schoolchildren in Quitman County Mississippi, to develop a web site that tells their story and how people across the country have opened their hearts and wallets to help.

"Every now and then we have the opportunity to really experience, first-hand, the power and influence of the Web and how it can dramatically affect people's lives. Largely through word-of-mouth, more and more people have visited the Playground Fund web site and sent in their contributions to help build a much-needed playground in this impoverished area of Mississippi," said Brian Williams, co-founder of Viget Labs and project manager for the web site development effort.
