The Project Start Before the Holidays
A holiday poem inspired by the year-end flurry of creativity and collaboration, capturing the energy, focus, and excitement as we wrap up 2024 and prepare for the year ahead.
‘Twas two weeks ‘til the holidays, and all through the team,
We were sketching out plans for the client’s big dream.
The kickoff was scheduled, the goals taking shape,
Our spirits were high; there was no time to escape.
The tools were assembled with purposeful care,
Slack channels and Notion to keep us aware.
The roadmap was crafted, a wishlist precise,
With tasks, dependencies, and timelines concise.
The team hopped on Figma, designing with flair,
Wireframes and concepts began to appear.
A palette of options, a vision so clear,
We’d refine and adjust when January was here.
With stakeholders gathered, we outlined the flow,
From user engagement to what metrics would show.
No code written yet, just strategy pure,
So, the project’s foundation would be strong and secure.
“The holidays are coming,” we said with a grin,
“But we’ll prep this work so we’re ready to begin.
We’ll finalize tools and refine our best takes,
To start the new year with no messy mistakes.”
A wishlist was shared, like Santa’s own list,
Of what we’d complete and what tasks could be missed.
Goals were aligned, our priorities clear,
To timelines and budgets and what we’d hold dear.
When the final call ended, with spirits alight,
We saved all our progress and shut down for the night.
But as we logged off, we felt a resounding cheer:
Happy holidays to all—see you next year!
