Real Estate Start-up Launch: DwellAgent
When I met DwellAgent co-founders John Lynch and Ed Johnston in Boston late last year, they described a web product that would help the country's 1.2 million Realtors better manage their online marketing efforts. John and Ed are experienced real estate agents themselves, and they understand well what strategies and tactics are working right now on the web. They also understand that the best agents aren't sitting at a desk updating redundant online profiles -- they're out at their properties and working directly with clients.
After a quick strategy workshop to help us clarify the go-to-market constraints of scope, schedule, and budget, we were thrilled to get started early this year to build the product.
DwellAgent is a great example of an ideal Viget start-up client. John and Ed are experts in their field and have a clear vision for what type of product can be successful since they know the end users so well. They needed a talented team that could quickly understand the vision, prioritize functionality into a simple-as-possible "version 1" of the product, and execute on a plan to build a scalable platform that boasts an intuitive, elegant interface.
Inside a three-month schedule, DwellAgent went from an idea to a live product, culminating in an official launch this week. I was happy to see Benn Rosales of AgentGenius write today "I see this product as a serious competitor ... based on design, intuitive setup and price point."
Congrats on the launch, John and Ed!
