Amanda Ripley
Amanda Ripley, a senior writer at TIME Magazine, has traveled the world studying disasters, natural and man-made. Her book, The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes — and Why, is the first mass-market book to explain how the brain works in disasters — and how we can learn to do better. When she asked us to create a site that featured the upcoming book and supporting information about disaster survival, we knew we had to deliver a design that would make this very important content easy to read and understand. In ExpressionEngine, we built a blog so that Amanda could continue to communicate to her audience about topics relevant to the book, and a series of pages to accommodate additional resources and information about the book itself. The result is a clean, authoritative, elegant site that communicates great content through great design.
